Tip to Spiritual Growth

One of the topics of discussion at our men's breakfast was on spiritual maturity. Most of the men voiced the desire to be farther along in their Christian walk than they were.  They wanted to know my secret to spiritual maturity.  Well, there is no secret, there is no short cut to maturity.  The only way I know of to maturity is consistent prayer, Bible reading, regular attendance at Church to hear the Word of God preached, Godly fellowship and reading good books.  If a person commits to these things there will be consistent growth.  God the Holy Spirit uses the Word of God in the Child of God to make him strong in the grace of God.  It's just how it works.  So why not start today.  If you want help to know where to start, I would recommend to a Bible reading plan from here.  I would also recommend reading a book that gives an overview of the whole Bible, such as: According to plan: the Unfolding Revelation of God in the Bible by Graeme Goldsworthy.
