Why I am starting a blog

I started a blog a few years ago but I stopped shortly after realizing that no one was reading it! So why am I starting to blog again?  Well, I still don't expect a whole lot of people to read what I write or to "follow" my blog.  But I have grown to realize that there's more reasons for me to write a blog than there are for me not to.  Regardless of the number of those who will read my blog, there are 2 primary reasons I feel I should blog on a consistent basis.

1. FOR ME:  Through the discipline of writing a consistent blog I will be able to organize my thoughts about what God is teaching ME.
2. FOR MY CHURCH: I love Connect Church and I want to be a resource for them.  This blog is a place where I can continue a thought from my Sunday morning message.  A place where I can share a quick nugget from my daily Bible reading.  A place where I can recommend a book, a movie, a CD, a blog, or a restaurant.  A place where I can interact with current events.  And lastly, a place where you can get to know me beyond the pulpit, a place where you can get to know me as your friend.
